The Tale of Princess Chili and the Way Home
A magical adventure to find the kingdom... and something even more valuable
Lili lived with her dad in a small house on the edge of the forest. Their home was cozy, with colorful curtains, creaky wooden floors, and the smell of cocoa in the mornings. Dad often read her stories, and Lili loved playing in the yard and talking to birds, squirrels, and even butterflies.
Lili had a special gift — she could understand the language of animals. No one believed her… no one except her dad. He always said:— "If you can hear it, then it must be true."
One day, Lili saw a small lost dog sitting on the bench outside their house. She had sad eyes and a black-and-white coat tangled with leaves and twigs.
— "My name is Chili… I'm a princess from the magical kingdom of dogs. I got lost…" —she whispered.
Lili understood everything at once.— "We’ll find your kingdom," —she promised. But first, she had to talk to her dad. Lili was afraid he wouldn’t believe her or agree to help. But to her surprise, Dad didn’t hesitate for even a second:— "We’ll help Chili."
And so the adventure began. Lili packed a map, a compass, and some cookies in her backpack. Chili wagged her tail, and Dad led them down a forest path.
Along the way, they heard crying. A little bird sat on a branch:— "My baby fell from the nest! Help!" Chili sniffed around and found the chick under a bush. Dad gently picked it up and placed it back in the nest.— "Thank you," —said the bird. "I won’t forget you."
Soon they met a cat named Muf. He was gray, long-legged, and very sure of himself. His eyes sparkled, and his voice purred like music.— "I know every road in the world," —he purred.— "The dog kingdom? Of course. Go straight through the Dark Forest."
They followed his advice… but the forest was a trap: the paths twisted, everything was dark and strange.
They got lost. Dad was silent, Chili whimpered softly, and Lili felt like it had all been for nothing. Then, suddenly, the bird appeared in the sky.— "Follow me!" —she sang.
The bird flew ahead, and soon sunlight broke through the trees. They were safe.
In the distance, behind some hills, joyful barking echoed. They climbed up — and in front of them lay the sparkling kingdom of dogs: bridges made of bones, pillow palaces, dogs in capes and crowns.
— "Chili! Our princess!" —they shouted. The King and Queen ran to embrace her. Everyone was overjoyed.
But that evening, under the stars, Chili came up to Lili and softly said:— "You are my real family. I found something I never had — even in my kingdom."— "Are you sure?" —asked Dad.— "Sure," —Chili nodded.
The three of them returned home — a little tired, but endlessly happy.
And Chili — the princess of a magical land — greeted them every morning at the door with a happy bark, because now she had the most important thing of all: a home. And they lived happily ever after.
